PHYSIOTHERAPY

We offer multiple physiotherapy services all of which are delivered with a high-standard of treatment using evidence-based and current techniques.

Our physiotherapists have extensive knowledge in biomechanics, experience in treating a wide range of conditions and the professional and caring manner required to resolve your problem and ensure it doesn’t reappear.

What we treat

Our approach

We use a wide range of treatment approaches, including:

The types of physiotherapy we provide are:

Injury Rehabilitation

Injuries can occur to bone, joints, muscle, tendon, ligament or nerves. Each requires their own way of therapy, and no two people will follow the same rehabilitation protocol. Our physiotherapists will identify the best method for your recovery, suitable for your schedule and lifestyle.

Neurological rehabilitation

Injuries to the nerves, brain or spinal cord are classed as neurological injuries. At The Physio Crew, we have training in neurological rehabilitation and will help you regain use of your body. Whether you want to take your first step, use your limbs again or return to high-level activities we will create and guide you through the best process for your goals.

Cardiac / Pulmonary rehabilitation

We offer rehabilitation to those suffering from heart and/or lung problems, consisting of exercise and education aimed at improving muscle strength and endurance, managing exacerbations and controlling breathlessness and fatigue. If you have recently had surgery to your heart or lungs, we can help you get back to doing the activities you love.

Pregnancy and post-natal physiotherapy

We have women’s health physiotherapists who have undergone specialised training and have a deep understanding in managing pregnancy-related abdominal and pelvic girdle pain in women during pregnancy or during the post-natal period. If you are pregnant and want quality advice throughout your pregnancy so that you can stay fit or want to return to activity after giving birth, our physiotherapists will be able to walk you through that process. We also offer pregnancy Pilates classes which you can speak to our physiotherapists about.

Biomechanical assessments

People often wonder if they are performing activities correctly, such as running, lifting weights, or more athletic manoeuvres. If this is you, our physiotherapists will use state of the art biomechanic technology to assess and track your movement patterns. We will show you what might need improvements and then develop a program for you with the goal of gaining efficiency in movements.

Post-surgical rehabilitation

All of our physiotherapists have extensive experiences in rehabilitation post-surgery. Surgeries that we commonly rehab clients through include joint replacements, tendon repairs, ligament repairs / reconstructions, arthroscopy, joint fusions and spinal surgeries

Physio-led personal training

If you want to dip your toe into exercise or optimise your current training, having sessions with a physiotherapist will be very helpful. It also helps that we can pick up on any physical deficits that may interfere with your progress and help you iron them out. We have physiotherapists are also qualified strength and conditioning coaches that know the ins and outs of comprehensive training plans, whether that be for strength, endurance, agility, speed or power. They are also well versed in offseason and in-season programs, so we have your back (literally and metaphorically) at any time of the year, exacerbations and controlling breathlessness and fatigue. If you have recently had surgery to your heart or lungs, we can help you get back to doing the activities you love.

Occupational physiotherapy

If you have work-related pain, our physiotherapists can help you make changes to your workstation or work routine to help manage the pain. We also offer onsite workstation and ergonomic assessments to ensure your work environment is well set up to avoid developing an injury.

NDIS

The Physio Crew is a registered NDIS provider and takes pride in the work we do with this community.

We take referrals from either the client, medical professionals, plan managers or family members of the client. We can either see you in the clinic if possible (100% accessible) but can also arrange to come to your home and provide treatment there.

Our NDIS therapy sessions are based on goals you would like to achieve, whether that relates to personal care, grooming, mobility, pain relief or community participation. We have a wide range of treatment options that we utilise, so no matter what your condition is we’ll have a way to help you out.
